What is the meaning of 甘桔 ?

Friends call me gumgig. The word comes from the name of a cough lozenges Gumgig Pean甘桔喉糖片. Claimed to contain abstracts from tea leaves and other herbs such as liquorice, mint, giggae.  What is the meaning of the word gumgig甘桔  anyway?
