Chicks of a Waterhen

นกกวัก 白胸苦恶
After a rain, many birds would come out to feed on the ground, with ripen fruits and earth-worms scattered around. Like yesterday in Phutthamonthon when a White-breasted Waterhen was spotted with its two chicks.

Friends of different species

Bird's island, an islet in Phutthamonthon where birds took as their home, many of them are those loving to feed on fish. An international community where kinds of birds live together in harmony, like the Little Cormorant and the Black-crowned Night-Heron.

Collared Kingfisher

นกกินเปี้ยว (Nk kinpeī̂yw) 白领翠鸟
Today the cloudy weather lure a Collared Kingfisher  juvenile into Phutthamonthon. Normally the bird loves to stay by seaside to feed on crabs. The bird's name in Thai literally means crab-eating bird.
